MOAH : Cedar
Juried Art Exhibit

i first moved to the Antelope Valley about a decade and a half ago, and in all honesty, i hated it. i didn't like the stark difference between this quiet desert suburb, and the busy, rich urban setting i came from. i thought it lacked culture, or history, or beauty - but as it turns out, i just didn't know where to look!

• i believe that Education leads to Appreciation, and the longer i've been here, the more people i've met, the more i've been taught, the more i value this place. There's a lot of history here, from the aerospace milestones to the cultural contributions, but i wanted to take a moment to appreciate the natural beauty. The flora and fauna of this place- from the antelope that once roamed these plains, the rabbits and crows that visit our yards, the panoramic landscapes that play stage to vivid sunsets, and our famed poppies and Joshua Trees .

• This was my love letter to TheAV, and it's my honor & privilege to have it on display at the local art museum, the MOAH: Cedar ! It's part of their annual art exhibit showcasing work by local creators, and boy- the caliber of work that's on those walls is just incredible! The variety and diversity of mediums, the ranges in size of the works on display, the boundlessness of the messages and inspiration... You just gotta experience it! The show's going on ‘til July 9, so if you're out in Lancaster during the next month, please come out and visit!
